47-Fargo: Day Off

0 miles/ 1 flat tire

I spent a quiet day in Fargo. It was nice to sleep late (7 AM), get laundry done, and wander around downtown Fargo. I went to the Plains Art Museum, which had an interesting exhibit by David Bradley, a Chippewa artist who is from Minnesota  but mostly works in Santa Fe.

On a day off, I still managed to have a flat tire. This afternoon, when I went to check tire pressure and pump them up, I found a thumbtack in the front tire! So I fixed that in the comfort of my hotel room. I don’t think it counts in the total number of flats, since I didn’t have to fix it by the side of the road.

I will head out of Fargo early tomorrow to try to beat the wind. It should be a nice ride to Enderlin. I thought I might get out of the rain by the time I was riding in North Dakota, but there is still a chance of some showers in the next couple of days. Maybe after that, the rain will go somewhere else.

  1. Other than the assassination of your inner tube by thumbtack, there appears to be absolutely no resemblance to the movie and TV series by the name “Fargo”?? Hope you have good riding weather tomorrow.
