First full day of summer!
But it didn’t feel much like summer where I was. It rained most of the day, with a few short breaks. The temperature stayed in the 60s so it wasn’t too cold or hot, just wet.
Didn’t need any sunscreen!
I crossed into Michigan from St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, to Taylors Falls, Minnesota. I rode a few more miles to Shafer to get off the road.
My sister who lives in St Paul is going to pick me up shortly so I can spend the night at her place. Looking forward to a visit, even if it is a short one.
Trip map so far (almost halfway of 4,000 total miles). Each pin is my stopping point for the day.

Jay and Kathleen Erbeck (Aaron’s parents) will look for you on the road. They’re headed eastbound in a car for Green Bay. Depart Seattle on Saturday. I think their route will be south of you, but I’ve given them your blog site and routing. Who knows, you might meet a car offering water and NCR conversation. You’re our hero. Great adventure. Peter and Jan
It would be fun to see them. I’m mostly riding on back roads but in North Dakota I will be on I-94 part of the time. I think they will be back in Green Bay by then …
