I rode on the Pere Marquette Trail from Clare to Reed City – which is off the Adventure Cycling map. I was able to find a way to ride on paved roads from Reed City to LeRoy (9 miles) to get back on the ACA route. The trail was nice, through forest of white pine and birch, occasional wetlands. Very quiet – saw 7 bicyclists, 3 walkers and one dog in 40 miles on the trail
Stopped in Luther to get food for supper.
Now at Carrieville State Forest Campground. Very quiet.
Cell service looks spotty. I will be camping a couple miles from town and will add more if cell service is available there.
